Massage therapist needed to take on existing patient load for Primary Rehab

Are you a passionate and skilled Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) dedicated to enhancing the well-being of others? Primary Rehab Clinic is looking for a talented individual like you to join our dynamic team and contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional care.

The clinic has been open since and located on a busy corner on Delta / Surrey border on Scott Road. Our main RMT is leaving and we are looking for a therapist to take on the patient case load.

Our clinic has a chiropractor, acupuncturist, kinesiologist and 2 counsellors. Our clinic prides itself on supporting each other and providing a fun, caring environment.

This opportunity is great for a new graduate of someone who has been working in the field for a while and wants to join a new clinic

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a registered massage therapist (RMT) typically include:

1. **Client Assessment:**
– Evaluate clients’ health histories, concerns, and needs through consultations.
– Perform physical assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan.

2. **Treatment Planning:**
– Develop individualized treatment plans based on the assessment, taking into consideration any medical conditions or injuries.
– Adjust treatments to address specific client needs, such as pain relief, injury recovery, or relaxation.

3. **Massage Therapy:**
– Perform various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage) to relieve pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, and promote healing.
– Use proper body mechanics to prevent self-injury during massage.

4. **Client Education:**
– Provide clients with post-treatment advice, including stretches, exercises, or lifestyle adjustments to improve well-being.
– Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and when it may be appropriate to seek additional medical treatment.

5. **Professional Ethics:**
– Maintain client confidentiality and respect client boundaries.
– Ensure a professional and ethical environment by adhering to the standards and codes of practice set by the regulatory body.
– Obtain informed consent from clients before beginning any treatment.

6. **Record Keeping:**
– Keep accurate and detailed records of each session, including client health history, treatment provided, and progress.
– Update records regularly to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
7. **Communication:**
– Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure their comfort during the session.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals if necessary to ensure comprehensive care.

8. **Continuing Education:**
– Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and regulations in massage therapy by attending workshops, courses, and seminars.
– Renew certifications and licenses as required by the regulatory body.

9. **Hygiene and Safety:**
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sanitizing equipment and following health protocols.
– Ensure personal hygiene and professional appearance are in line with industry standards.
